Last week we gave you a sneak peak of this season’s Bridal Market (like Fashion Week, for bridal style!) as we shared our favourite Bridal Week Instagram snaps, and a look backstage at the glorious Marchesa S/S 16 collection.

And every day this week, we’ll be sharing a new collection that will leave you utterly inspired for your own big day dress.

And who better to kick off a week of dress-swooning, than a designer beloved by brides the world over, Jenny Packham.

There’s a reason Jenny Packham is so popular with brides. Not only are her gowns easy to wear and utterly flattering on every figure, but they appeal to everyone, from brides with the most simple tastes to those looking for something really unique and fashion forward.

With a nod to some of the biggest trends of the season – caped gowns, a touch of sparkle, and daring necklines – as well as Jenny Packham’s own signature style – gorgeous gathered waists, intricate detailing and dreamy skirts – this is the kind of collection where everyone will find a favourite.

FROM THE FASHION HOUSE

The collection is inspired by Shakespeare’s fairy realm and the characters of a Midsummer Night’s Dream and features celestial silk tulles, romantically sculpted corsetry and cascading silk chiffon. 

Appliqué organza blooms, majestic ostrich feathers, crystal foliage motifs and delicate floral lace celebrate the lavish artistry of nature: opulent velvet bows add texture and hues of soft meadow green evoke the shades of summer.

Swarovski crystals dance in the light adding an otherworldly, whimsical grace to a collection inspired by a midsummer dream and a fairy queen. 

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ From a Long Distance Courtship to an Energetic Wedding Filled with Laughs

Holy shit! Bridey, imagine getting married there! Absolute heaven, right? Seriously, I am completely obsessed with the bench seating and the lack of any additional décor; just the beauty around them. Just wait until you see the rest of the photographs from this FAB wedding! They are truly jaw-dropping and simple. The B+G? Not so much. I mean… They are a beautifully handsome couple, but they are anything but simple! 

Techincally, they’ve known each other since their freshman year at UCLA, but didn’t officially start their courtship until each were traveling for months at a time. Great timing, right? Actually, it was… They got to know each other via email and when they finally saw each other stateside, they greeted with a kiss and haven’t looked back since! Awwwww… How romantic! And, as you will see from their wedding pics, they are certainly two peas in a pod! Laughing the whole day through! Something to aspire towards, bridey… Wouldn’t you say?

BEST OF BRIDAL WEEK: MIRA ZWILLINGER WEDDING DRESS 2016 COLLECTION

As we continue to take a look at the most beautiful, unique, and stylish collections from this season’s Bridal Market, today we’re gushing over a designer whose collections are always daring, always different, and always gorgeous.

Mira Zwillinger.

A Tel Aviv-based designer, who now works alongside her daughter Lihi, Mira Zwillinger has already garnered a massive following in the US, and with UK and Australian stockists, brides around the work are discovering her exquisite designs.

The latest Mira Zwillinger collection, Stardust, is laced with silver hues and shimmering details. While maintaining her signature floral applique details throughout most of the collection, there’s also swirls, sequins and pretty bows polishing her already stunning wedding dresses nz.

Best of all, there’s a style for every shape with romantic floaty skirts, ballgown silhouettes, and chic, straighter lines, while the necklines vary from one shouldered sweethearts to crop-top tees and deep Vs at the back.

Let’s just say, whatever your style, if you like a touch of sparkle, you’ll love this collection!

ON THE COLLECTION

Mira and Lihi titled this collection “Stardust”. They are very inspired by fantasy and resonate with the fact that, not every day can be a fairytale (life is hard sometimes), but your wedding day deserves to be.

They love that every single piece in this collection sparkles, it’s how they think women should feel- special, different and one hundred percent unique.

On fabrication, every piece from the Mira Zwillinger collection is completely one-of-a-kind. Gowns are handmade in Tel Aviv from various crystals, precious stones and the finest quality fabrics.

Mira and Lihi pride themselves on their custom laces, each piece a custom combination of up to six different designs, sewn together by hand.

When we saw the list of vendors taking part, we got pretty excited! Some of these sellers are veritable Etsy superstars and the rest are crafty royalty in the making.

Among the vendors we’re already big fans of, are Gibson Bespoke, purveyors of the most divine gowns, coverups and hair accessories, super stationers, The Lovely Drawer and Wolf and Ink, and decor faves, Miss Sarah Cake, Sepia Smiles and Pops of Colour.

Special guests will include Emily Kent, of The Wedding Hair Company, who’ll be on hand to style your hair and talk through wedding day options for your tresses.

Music will come courtesy of DJ supremos, the Wedding Smashers, Etsy seller Harriet Parry, will there with her beautiful blooms, and you can sample tipples from The Travelling Gin Company too.

So many of us dream of our perfect wedding from when we’re young, and while our vision can change (I no longer want to walk up the aisle in a Princess Fiona-esque medieval gown!) the overall picture of your dream day may never falter.

And when it comes to turning your vision into a wedding day reality, Natalie and Mark did it beautifully.

Marrying at the luxurious Stapleford Park, a country house in England, their romantic white and blush wedding was exactly how Natalie had always pictured it, and on hand to capture all the opulent decor and chic style, were Kate and Kev of Depict Photography.

With a backdrop of white hydrangeas and blush roses, and a scentscape of orange blossom and rose, Natalie and Mark’s wedding was styled with wow factor in mind.

Working with their planners, The Angels, their venue was dripping in chic touches from crystal-drapped candelabras to dramatic floral arrangements.

But the style is where this wedding really sets itself apart. Natalie was impossibly glamorous in her strapless, mermaid-style Vera Wang wedding dress, her bridesmaids were beautiful in blushTwobirds gowns, and the little ones, utterly adorable, in made-to-measure tutu flower girl dresses. And not forgetting the groom, Mark was dashing in a navy, Hugo Boss three piece suit.

Lavish, ornate, and super gorgeous, we think you guys are going to love this fabulous English wedding…

WEDDING DAY SNAPSHOT

OUR WEDDING

My wedding was exactly what I’d always dreamed of.

We were lucky to have The Angels wedding planners on board to help with our wedding planning. The theme I wanted for my wedding was romantic blush with pinks, ivory, peach and, apricot roses and hydrangeas.

I chose soft beautiful feminine colours.

THE DRESSES

My dress from idress.co.nz was a Vera Wang wedding dress and my big and smaller bridesmaids wore Twobirds dresses, my two mini flower girl dresses were custom made by a local company in Leicester calledDivine Boutique.

THE FLOWERS

I chose a mixture of roses and hydrangeas, my two favourite flowers. My bouquet was a mixture of blush coloured roses and hydrangeas and the bridesmaids were ivory hydrangeas.

We had white hydrangeas only, in the orangery for the ceremony. Then blush roses and hydrangeas during the reception.

We wanted the ceremony to look different to the reception room to create a wow!

So we kept the ceremony flowers simple with big balls of white hydrangeas with white rose petals lining the aisle. 

THE CEREMONY

I had a live singer as I walked down the aisle – Kellie Leigh, amazing singer!!

We used my favourite Jo Malone scented candles throughout the ceremony and reception room Orange Blossom and Rose.

THE CHILDREN

We chose to not invite children to our wedding apart from niece and nephews as between us, we had a lot. We had a beautiful children tables with custom made activity packs by Kirsty Jepson at Rae & Rose Weddings.

The kids loved them. Such a good idea.

Kirsty also made the little flower girls beautiful rose flower balls.

THE DECOR & DETAILS

I knew I always wanted huge flower ball centre pieces for our reception breakfast, The bigger the better. We also incorporated some diamante to go with the three extra large chandeliers in the reception room.

We had a mixture of extra large flower ball centre pieces and candelabras with matching flowers around the bottom. The Angels arranged hanging diamante from all the center-pieces.

THE MUSIC & REFRESHMENTS

We had a white grand piano during the reception breakfast with blush candles surrounding it creating a romantic atmosphere.

In the evening we had a live band, Kellie Leigh and a five piece band and a DJ later on.

Our dinner was a seven course formal meal, and we had an amazing sweetie table in the evening with all the same blush colour sweets and cakes, made by Couture Cakes.

So, gorgeous, right? We love rustic DIY weddings, but sometimes a little luxury and decadence is just as romantic, personal, and chic.

A Capsule Collection of Beauty from Temperley London

Back in the Autumn London based designer Alice Temperley unveiled a small but beautiful collection for 2015 brides. Just 13 dresses with a core theme of delicate hand-embroidery and lace with her signature boho aesthetic. If you’re already a fan, then the Temperley 2015 Collection, will not disappoint…

Highlights of the collection included: a three-quarter sleeve gown with a slinky column dress underneath and a frilled peplum overskirt, an embroidered draped boho-style sleeved gown, a stunning high-necked full lace gown as well as a beautifully embellished gown with soft delicate flower and ruffle detail. Separates also played a part in the collection with a lighter-than-air bridal overcoat that buttoned at the neck.

The collection concluded with a short mini dress version of the first dress in the collection which is featured above, perfect for the city chic or destination bride.
